MEET SARAH
From a young age I have been filled with questions about how people create meaning in their lives, and what gives us a sense of connection to something larger than ourselves. This search has been central to my lifelong curiosity about people and our journeys.
I was born and raised in New England. I earned my undergraduate degree at Connecticut College in New London, CT. Upon graduating, I lived in New York and eventually moved to Los Angeles, but felt burnt out by the nonstop pace of the film industry. I wanted to bring more balance to my life and to others. In 2002, I switched gears, and become an RYT certified Yoga Instructor at Center for Yoga in Los Angeles. I taught in LA and I continued my studies of Yoga and Vedic Meditation in India which expanded my capacity to stay centered. I remain an eternal student and am inspired by the rich philosophies throughout the world which offer inspiration on the path of life.
In my late 20s, life changes brought me to therapy. My experience of therapy was profound and I felt inspired to become a therapist myself. I obtained my Masters Degree in Counseling Psychology with a concentration in Depth Psychology at Pacifica Graduate Institute in Santa Barbara, California.
Upon graduating, I began my therapy practice while becoming an ex-pat. I lived in Bali, Indonesia last year and currently split my time between Amsterdam and California.
It is an honor and privilege to work with people in a therapeutic setting.
Currently I see clients from around the world via confidential on-line sessions or in person. If you are interested in working in person in Amsterdam, I make yearly trips to facilitate retreats and do one on one sessions. Feel free to contact me to learn more about my Amsterdam travel schedule.
I view life itself as a great work of art. In this way we are all artists, constantly in the process of creation.
